Group Senior ESG Controller - ECCO HQ, Bredebro
Do you want to turn ESG ambitions into measurable impact across a global organisation with strong values and deep roots in craftsmanship?
You shape and steer ECCO’s group-wide ESG reporting and governance
In this role, you take a leading position in developing, anchoring and continuously improving ECCO’s ESG controlling and reporting framework. You work hands-on with data, systems and standards, while also acting as a trusted partner to colleagues across Finance, Sustainability and the wider business. Your work helps ensure transparency, compliance and decision-ready insights that support ECCO’s long-term strategy.
You collaborate closely with group functions, regional stakeholders and external partners, translating complex ESG requirements into clear structures and practical processes that work in a global setup.
Your key tasks include:
- Preparation for ECCO’s first CSRD compliant sustainability report in 2027.
- Maintain and develop ECCO’s ESG controlling frameworks, covering KPIs, data governance, documentation and internal controls.
- Ensure ESG data quality and audit readiness, working closely with Group Finance, Sustainability and external assurance partners.
- Act as a trusted expert and sparring partner on ESG reporting standards and metrics, translating complex requirements into practical solutions.
- Support integrated reporting ambitions, strengthening the linkage between ESG disclosures and financial reporting.
The role offers flexibility, with an arrangement that balances collaboration at the office with individual needs.
You join a specialised and collaborative finance environment
The Group Financial Controlling and Reporting department is a small, specialised team within Group Finance, characterised by professionalism, trust and constructive dialogue. Wevalue curiosity, high standards and collaboration across functions and cultures. There is room to influence how we work and to develop your role over time while being part of ECCO’s extended family.
You bring structure, insight and curiosity to complex agendas
You combine a strong analytical mindset with the ability to communicate clearly and collaborate widely. You enjoy working at the intersection of finance, sustainability and strategy, and you are comfortable navigating changing requirements and stakeholder expectations.
We imagine you bring:
- Solid experience with ESG reporting, sustainability controlling or similar disciplines.
- A strong understanding of data management, internal controls and reporting processes.
- The ability to translate complex frameworks into clear, workable solutions.
- Experience working across functions, cultures and organisational levels.
- A proactive, curious mindset and a desire to keep learning as the ESG agenda evolves.
We know that most won’t tick every box. If this role motivates you and you see yourself growing into the responsibilities, we encourage you to apply.
