Production Engineering Technician - ECCO HQ, Bredebro
Do you want to play a key part in shaping the future of ECCO’s global production by combining hands-on mechanical work with innovation and project collaboration?
In this position, you will help ensure reliable spare part supply for ECCO’s worldwide production units while contributing to the development and optimisation of production equipment. You will work closely with colleagues in our Factory 2025 area, project teams, and production sites across the globe. Over time, you will become increasingly self-sufficient in the spare parts area, and you will participate as a project member on various development and optimisation projects.
You will be part of something that isn’t “just another production department” - it is ECCO’s technical innovation powerhouse. A team that anchors innovation into real factory operations and supports both new development activities and technical improvements. Expect a dynamic environment with a strong focus on collaboration, curiosity, and continuous improvement.
In this role, you will:
- Coordinate and execute end-to-end spare part engineering and related logistics for global production units.
- Perform hands-on mechanical tasks, including assembly, installation, adjustments, and verification of machines, tools, and equipment.
- Support production engineering projects in Denmark and abroad and take part in troubleshooting, commissioning, and process improvements.
- Participate in prototype development, testing, and validation within the development environment in Bredebro.
- Contribute to production optimisation and improvements, ensuring reliable, stable, and efficient performance.
You thrive in a global setting and are motivated by modern production technologies
We are looking for someone who enjoys practical engineering work, respects the craftsmanship and history of ECCO’s production culture but is also excited to challenge old habits with curiosity, structure, and modern mechanical know‑how.
You are likely a great match if you bring:
- A background as a mechanic, maintenance technician, industrial technician or similar.
- Practical experience in mechanical assembly, equipment adjustments, and hands-on engineering work.
- An interest in emerging production technologies and a structured, responsible way of working.
- Good communication skills in Danish and English.
- Willingness to travel 20–50 days a year.
Whether you are young and newly educated or bring many years of experience, it is not critical as long as you are open to learning new technologies, flexible with travel, and ready to work in an international team of colleagues.
Join a team built on collaboration, craftsmanship and cross-functional problem solving
You will join the Production Engineering Services team in Factory 2025, which is our flagship innovation engine and the department shaping tomorrow’s footwear production through advanced automation, digitalization, and smarter, more sustainable ways of working.
The team works closely across engineering disciplines and with ECCO’s global factories. The atmosphere is open, supportive, and defined by a willingness to explore new technologies while honouring ECCO’s strong production heritage.
Do you want to step into a role where your mechanical expertise supports global production development?
We review applications on an ongoing basis and encourage you to apply even if you do not meet every criteria.
