As Digital Experience Design Researcher, you will lead and execute user research and usability validation across ECCO’s digital ecosystem, contributing customer and behavioural insight into digital experience and optimisation work. Sitting within Experience Design & Revenue Optimisation, the role combines senior hands-on research execution with responsibility for helping establish and evolve research practices, validation approaches and insight-driven ways of working.
Working closely with experience, commercial, CRO, data, customer insight and regional teams, you will identify customer needs, usability challenges and optimisation opportunities through applied research and customer insight collaboration.
What you will do
- Plan and execute qualitative and quantitative research across digital journeys, customer touchpoints and omnichannel experiences.
- Lead usability testing, interviews, surveys and validation activities to identify customer needs, behavioural patterns, friction points and optimisation opportunities.
- Drive research and validation throughout the design and optimisation process, supporting both early concepts and live digital experiences.
- Translate research findings, customer feedback and behavioural insights into actionable recommendations that support design, content, commercial and prioritisation decisions.
- Drive journey mapping, usability evaluation, accessibility reviews and experience analysis across digital customer journeys.
- Collaborate with experience, commercial, CRO, data, CRM, content, CMI/customer insight and regional teams to improve journeys, campaigns and engagement experiences.
- Establish and maintain research documentation, validation frameworks and operational processes that support consistent research practices.
- Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to stakeholders across functions, regions and markets.
- Contribute to customer-centred ways of working and evidence-based prioritisation across Experience Design & Revenue Optimisation.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience working with user research, usability testing, applied UX research or customer insight collaboration within digital environments.
- Experience with qualitative and quantitative research methods and translating findings into practical recommendations and improvements.
- Experience supporting digital products, UX/UI, customer experience, CRO, CRM, loyalty, marketing, data or content-related initiatives.
- Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder collaboration skills, with the ability to connect customer insight with design, data and commercial decisions.
- Structured, curious and comfortable working hands-on with research planning, testing, analysis and operational coordination.
- Fluent in English.
- Experience within e-commerce, retail, footwear, lifestyle or premium brands is an advantage.
